Position Overview
We are looking for a Project Manager to join the Information Technology Services team. This role is ideal for candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience in project management or technical roles (e.g., application engineer, developer). As a Junior Project Manager, you will manage the entire lifecycle of IT projects related to network, compute, storage, and cloud technologies. You will coordinate across multiple teams and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for projects involving network, cloud, storage, and compute technologies.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring that milestones are met and deliverables are achieved within the defined scope and schedule.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination:
- Work with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and stakeholders across multiple locations to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, including senior leadership, to keep them informed of progress and resolve issues promptly.
- Communication & Reporting:
- Prepare and deliver clear project documentation, status reports, and updates to stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly terms to ensure clarity and alignment across technical and non-technical teams.
- Change Management & Problem Resolution:
- Monitor and manage project changes and risks, ensuring any scope changes are properly addressed.
- Provide proactive solutions to resolve issues and risks that may impact project timelines, budget, or quality.
- Team Leadership:
- Provide direction and guidance to project team members, ensuring their tasks are aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Foster a collaborative environment to encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and commitment to achieving project objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, IT infrastructure, or technical roles (e.g., application engineer, developer).
- Familiarity with network, cloud, compute, or storage technologies is a plus.
- Certifications:
- Any SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) certification, such as SSM, SASM, SA, SPC, or SPMPO, is preferred.
- Knowledge of Agile practices and methodologies is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word for project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and operations.
- Communication Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in clear, business-oriented terms.
- Comfortable presenting project status and updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Interpersonal & Leadership Skills:
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with vendors, team members, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, foster collaboration, and maintain focus on project goals.
